⠶ About The University of Kansas Drumline
The best way to understand what KU DRUMLINE is all about is to see it for yourself. If you can’t make it out to lawrence to visit we have some videos for you. KU Endowment created a video compilation of the Marching Jayhawks following the band around on band day 2007.
Video 1 - “Pre-Parade”, After the saturday morning rehearsal the band heads to the annual Band Day Parade. The drumline
has a warm-up in the park, and then joins the band for the parade.
Video 2 - “On Parade”, The Marching Jayhawks kick off the parade led by the Drumline playing a marching cadence.
Video 3 - “The Hill”, After the parade down Mass. street the band meets at wescoe hall to warm up. The drumline does
another public warm-up, and then lines up in yet another parade formation to march down the hill to
their traditional concert on the hill for tailgating fans.
Video 4 - “Pre-Game”, The KU Drumline does its traditional march on cadence at 20:00 till game time, then plays the “Run
On” to get the band on the field and ready for Ku Pre-Game.
Video 5 - “The Stands”, While in the stands the drumline is always playing whether it be with the band, or playing grooves
and cadences on defense.
